So maybe you’re a hillwalker, maybe you’ve done some scrambling, and want to take things a little further and try some climbing. Maybe you’ve always looked up at people dangling from the crags and thought “I’d like to have a go at that” well, there’s nothing stopping you! You don’t need to be super fit or super strong, if you can walk the hills, or dance, you can climb!
Rock climbing has a reputation as being a dangerous, or even reckless pursuit. In reality it’s one of the outdoor activities where risks can be managed very effectively and the modern day sport can have a greater margin of safety than many other mountain activities.
The safety systems you use in climbing rely on YOU to understand them, remember them, and implement them correctly. It’s good to learn with an instructor who is experienced not only in climbing, but also in delivering those techniques to you.
Experienced, Qualified Instruction
Learning rock climbing is best with low instructor to client ratios and our rock climbing adventures are run in very small groups, ensuring you get plenty of learning time as well as climbing time. We offer climbing programs for complete beginners as well as for those who have some experience already and want to improve. We also offer courses designed for those who have some knowledge of climbing indoors and wish to make the transition onto real rock. Our courses run on Skye in Scotland and the English Lake District
We supply all the specialist safety equipment you will need on all of our climbing programs, and can advise you if you’re thinking of buying your own. Of course if you’ve climbed before and already own your own equipment, feel free to bring it along if you wish.
