Walking is at the centre of a lot of what we do at Mountain Freedom, but within that there is a huge range of different activities, locations and approaches. Our walking activities cover everything from a morning’s stroll looking for wildlife, photographing the scenery and flora, through a few days staying in comfortable accommodation and enjoying some classic walks with a sociable group, to a rugged week-long expedition carrying tents into remote country on a wild camping and backpacking trip. We offer it all.
A range of options with something for everyone
We offer walking itineraries in Scotland and further afield to suit all levels of experience, ability, and aspiration. With most of our itineraries you can join a group on a fixed departure trip or we can organise some walking that suits your schedule for yourself or your group. We pride ourselves in being flexible. We’re also used to working with people of all levels of experience and ability so you can be confident that our guides will be able to pace things just right for you.
You don’t need to have any experience or be super-fit to do this, just come with a sense of adventure! Nor do you need a huge load of expensive specialist equipment. Some good supportive footwear such as walking boots or approach shoes, and some clothing suitable for the outdoors is all you need. When you book we advise you on what you might need for your chosen activity and season, and can usually help out if you don’t have everything you need.
