Improve all aspects of your outdoor skills on a 2 or 4 day mountain skills course – navigation, scrambling, safety, camp craft and bivouacs. 2 day courses cover essential skills and 4 day courses include an overnight wilderness expedition with a wild camp or mountain bivouac. The aim of these fun courses is to give you skills to increase your self reliance, whilst having some great times out on the hills rather than in a classroom. It’s also ideal for those wishing to brush up their skills prior to an ML assessment or similar.
The courses are based in Carbost at the foot of the Black Cuillin (and handy for the Old Inn!). Choose accommodation to suit your budget from our list of recommended providers. We provide all instruction and supply any specialist equipment you may need, although of course you’re welcome to bring your own if you wish.
“Cheers Ian for showing us all loads of useful and practical skills that we will use time and time again. A great skills course by a very knowledgeable mountain leader and a top all round bloke !!! Anyone wondering if these mountain courses are worth the money, well wonder no more. A brilliant weekend 10/10.” (Paul, Hatlepool)
